Anastasiia Podervianska
Anastasiia Podervianska is a remarkable professional textile artist who explores various Ukrainian poetry and life and death themes within folk tales. Her art delves into identity, memory, and cultural heritage. Working with found fabrics and traditional embroidery, Podervianska transforms everyday objects into art pieces, merging fine art with daily life. Her work examines the impact of war on culture, illustrating the deliberate attempts to censor and destroy Ukrainian cultural identity. Her textile pieces have been showcased at the Hamptons Fine Art Fair (2022), the 25 WTA International Textile Biennial in Miami (2022), and Nord Art (2021). Over the years, she has participated in more than 20 solo exhibitions and over 50 group exhibitions in Ukraine and internationally. Podervianska has received several accolades, including Third Place at the 8th WTA World Textile Art Biennial in Madrid and awards at both the V and VI Ukrainian Textile Triennials. Her works are part of private, museum, and institutional collections in Ukraine, Germany, Poland, and the USA.
