Founder: Mariana Dzhulai


Block A Gallery was founded in 2000 in Kyiv, Ukraine, by curator and art manager Mariana Dzhulai. Initially focused on emerging talent, the gallery gradually evolved to include collaborations with renowned artists whose work is widely recognized both in Ukraine and abroad. Over the years, Block A has grown into a respected cultural platform with a strong reputation, earning the trust of artists, collectors, and the general public.
Mariana Dzhulai is a Ukrainian art manager, curator, and gallery founder with nearly 30 years in the field. She has organized over 100 exhibitions, managed multicultural festivals and art fairs, and founded the "Block A" gallery in Kyiv. Mariana also possesses a vast network within the Ukrainian artist and creative community. Her international work includes collaborations with UNESCO, embassies, and ministries, as well as exhibitions in Paris, New York, Karlsruhe, and Sicily.
After the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Mariana relocated to the Netherlands, where she has remained actively engaged in the art scene, emphasizing international collaboration and promoting Ukrainian culture abroad. She also founded the Dutch-Ukrainian Cultural Center "Kastanje.”
